Brief history of Nami No Oto Shuzou

This is a sake brewery located by the naturally nurtured shores of beautiful Lake Biwa. Established in the second year of the Bunka era (1805), it has a history spanning over 200 years.
The name “Nami No Oto” was bestowed by a high priest on Mt. Hiei. At this brewery, guided by the belief of “continuously challenging new things while preserving tradition,” they focus on small-batch brewing due to being a small brewery, and the family comes together to craft sake with meticulous care.
The flagship brand, “Nami No Oto,” revolves around the theme of “drinking relaxation.” Praised for its refined sweetness that gently envelops and recedes, its taste is likened to ripples on the water, gaining popularity.
